Today, the Moroccan apple sector faces two major problems, namely: the high cost of manual thinning with its corollary management of labor, and the russeting for sensitive varieties.

New solutions for the apple industry

Acting on its policy of making new innovative solutions available to Moroccan agriculture, the SAOAS-ALFACHIMIE group organized on February 14th in Meknes, in collaboration with the FINE AGROCHEMICALS LTD company, leader of the biosynthesis of the regulating hormones of growth, an information day about two new hormone-based products for the apple and pear production. That are:

NOVAGIB
Associating gibberellins A4 pure and A7. NOVAGIB allows a better prevention against the roughness of sensitive varieties such as Golden. Thus, the producer brings a real added value to his production. In addition to its elasticity of use in full bloom, this product avoids any side effect on the next production.

EXILIS
Applied after apple blossom, this product based on 6-benzyladenine, increases the fall of weak fruits by activating the fruits cell respiration and division. In addition, it improves the regulation of the load, increases the size and considerably reduces the labor costs related to thinning.

Many producers, engineers and technicians were present in the information day which was a real opportunity to exchange information and experience in the field.
